For anyone that's interested in sharing their u/s pictures in this area that's special just for us ladies who have been through a loss...I was thinking maybe we'd make a sticky for this? I know I'd like to start being able to share all of our journeys together and help eachother get through these big milestones. I know we all have our own DD rooms, but sometimes it might be easier to talk about certain questions, worries, or just to vent with others that truly understand what we're thinking and feeling.
I know as I get closer to the time for my first u/s I've been searching the threads for pictures to give me a better idea of what to expect ---- maybe in the future this thread can help other women who are anxious and anticipating their first big appt. to see pictures from others who have already gone through it with success...

Oh, thanks Sara - that's a real sweet thing to say . I can't wait for future u/s pics to see our little bean grow and look more and more like a little baby. Quite amazing that it already kind of looks like a baby now considering how early it is!

I posted in my Due date forum, but thought I'd add it here~
I went in this morning, really awfully early, to have my first u/s done. :hooray: I had to have a full bladder so I could have the abdominal u/s, which got almost painful while I was waiting to get checked in. Of course, I forgot all about it when she turned the monitor on and I got to see my baby for the first time.
I had DH scan the pic in at work and send it to me. Here's what he sent:

So silly!
It's a side view with the head on the left, then belly, then feet. The bright spot next to the head on top is it's arm. Waving hi! Baby's looking great, measuring 2 days ahead, with a beautiful heart rate of 175bpm. I finally got to hear it! It seems so much more real now. I am completely thrilled!

Yay! Yup. It's 3D. My doc SAYS there is a diagnostic use for these (e.g., determining if there's a cleft lip or palate, or certain other malformations) but I think mostly it's just another expensive toy. :eyeroll::laugh: ... oh, and Penguin is fine. :winks:
Your little boy has such a cute nose! Awww! :bellyrubs::wub:

My first ultrasound showed two gestational sacs! Praying that I won't have to deal with Vanishing Twin Syndrome or anything like that! :bellyrubs:
