Default Profile just sent to a possible birth mother

Ladies, I'm freaking out! Our lawyer just called to give us info on a possible birth mother. We gave him the green light to send our profile. He sent us a bunch of info on her, including pictures. She lives fairly local (less than an hour away), and is so, so pretty. Her mother used our lawyer 15 years ago to place a baby girl for adoption.

EEK! I'm a nervous wreck. Fingers crossed and prayer, please.

That sounds really exciting. I have my fingers crossed that she picks you. Hope she doesn't take too long to make up her mind and you hear something soon.

Still no news. She had her 20 week ultrasound yesterday. For anyone that's been through this (Jess), how long did it take your bm to make her decision after she received your profile?

If she just had her 20 week apt. she is due around the same time I am!

We were never paired before birth so I have no experience with that! I hope she makes her decision soon! GOOD LUCK!

Well, we weren't selected. I know that this process can be long, but I can't help but be disappointed. After 4 years of STC, and all of the failed treatments, this is starting to feel like we will face the same fate. Sorry ladies, I'm just bummed.

Sorry this situation didn't work out. I can understand your disappointment. Adoption is definitely a roller coaster. Hope you won't have to wait much longer.

Big hugs!!!!!!!!!!!! Hang in there, it is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO worth it in the end!

For anyone who thinks adopting is the "easy" way to have a family has obviously never seen a true adoption process. I understand that it feels like it will NEVER happen, but keep your head up and your faith strong...IT WILL happen!!!!
